Big Eddy/High Bridge Boat Launch

Big EddyTo get to Big Eddy:

Heading east on highway 2, you will pass through Gold Bar and past the turn off to Reiter Road on the left.  From there you will go up the small hill and over the bridge (High Bridge).  The next right is the entrance to Big Eddy.Entrance to Big Eddy  

The GPS coordinates are N 47.83667 W 121.65784 (GPS format NAD27, hddd.ddddd Degrees).

The ramp itself is very loose sand deposited by high water.  Many a 2 wheel drive has sunk it's rear axle trying to come up out of there.  As you look at the photo of the ramp,Ramp at Big Eddy you can see how high the water gets every year by where the logs are located across the water on the other side.  The entire ramp will disappear during these times of high water.  This photo was taken at about 700 c.f.s.  There are bathrooms and a picnic table.  Note that a lot of white water rafters take out here as they float down from the forks up above.
